How Did Horizontal Bar Gymnastics Originate?

The history of the horizontal bar movement can be traced back to the era of primitive people nearly 1 million years ago, when humans still preserved the skills of apes climbing branches and swinging.
The first horizontal bar in the world appeared in 1812. It was inspired by acrobatics in Western Europe. At that time, the horizontal bar movement was very simple, and the evaluation of the horizontal bar movement was only based on the number of laps. After that, there were all kinds of up-bar movements and twists, loops with changing radii, and all kinds of jumps and somersaults.
In modern gymnastics, the fastest development is the horizontal bar, which has now developed to more than 1000 movements. There are many kinds of single-arm rotation movements, such as hand forward grip, reverse grip, twist grip, and so on, as well as changing body posture while turning and grasping the bar after somersault.
The horizontal bar is 2.55 meters high, and its whole set of movements are composed of swing movements, which are continuously completed by various grip methods, including large loop, close bar movements, body rotation around the vertical axis and flight movements. It is allowed to have two single arm swing movements across the vertical surface of the bar. The horizontal bar requires a certain degree of difficulty in the air movement and other special requirements.
